Spurs winger once again finds himself playing Under-23 football

Jack Clarke’s difficult start to the new season continues after he was named in Leeds United’s Under 23 side which take on Hull City this afternoon.

Clarke completed a £10million switch to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer and was immediately loaned back to the Championship side for the duration of the 2019/20 campaign (The Sun).

While the idea would have been for Clarke to continue to gain experience of regular first team football, it certainly hasn’t worked out in that manner so far.

The 18-year-old is yet to play a minute in Leeds’ seven league outings to date with his only senior game time coming in two Carabao Cup fixtures.

There has been suggestions that Tottenham could look to recall the winger early from his spell in January with Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham United all interested if Mauricio Pochettino decides to send him back out on loan (Express).

Clarke made 25 appearances under Marcelo Bielsa for Leeds in their failed bid for promotion last season.
