Spurs youngster signs first professional contract with the club

Tottenham Hotspur have an array of talent in their academy, and Mauricio Pochettino is not afraid of giving these youngsters first team opportunities.

In the last couple of years, he has used the likes of Harry Winks, Josh Onomah, Luke Amos, and Oliver Skipp, to name but a few.

Poch also likes to give some of the promising young stars chances to train and travel with the first team, as he has been doing with Irish wonderkid Troy Parrott.

17-years-old today, Parrott only joined Spurs in the summer, but it has been a whirlwind year for him already.

He has been a regular fixture in the under-21 side, despite his young age, and has also travelled with the team and trained on many occasions.

There were even rumours that he could be called up to play during Spurs’ striker shortage last month, but Pochettino obviously thought it was too much too soon.

However, Parrott has signed his first professional contract with the club today, what a great birthday present that is!
