“St Totteringham’s day is on” – Some Arsenal fans show how obsessed they are with Spurs

Tottenham fell to a 2-1 defeat at Anfield in Liverpool yesterday courtesy of a late own goal.

Spurs gave a good account of themselves through the game, dominating the second half, and were unlucky to come away without any points.

The defeat puts Tottenham in a perilous position when it comes to the race for the top 4 spots as only one point now separates Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea in the table.

Tottenham have comfortably finished above Arsenal in the table each of the last two seasons, a fact that doesn’t sit well with Arsenal fans.

When they beat Spurs at the Emirates earlier in the season, a lot of them used the opportunity to gloat that North London was red, only for Spurs to go above them in the table less three days later.

It doesn’t seem like they have learned their lesson as several Arsenal fans once again took to social media after Spurs’ defeat to Liverpool to suggest that St.Totteringham’s day was approaching.

Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted on social media:

  1. Yeah, we are obsessed with Tottenham, the greatest team the world has ever seen.

Yet something rather intriguing happened this weekend…

Spurs played a legends match to celebrate their new stadium. But instead of soaking in all the euphoria, they decided to take a dig at Arsenal by writing No. 50 on one of their players’ shirt (whose name I can’t even remember, btw) to celebrate his 50 yard lob against Arsenal for ANOTHER TEAM! Well, I guess if you can’t fill up your trophy cabinet with trophies of your own you are allowed to CLAIM the victory your former players get with their new teams.

I don’t see any obsession bigger than this, my friend.
