Tottenham fell to a 2-1 defeat at Anfield in Liverpool yesterday courtesy of a late own goal.
Spurs gave a good account of themselves through the game, dominating the second half, and were unlucky to come away without any points.
The defeat puts Tottenham in a perilous position when it comes to the race for the top 4 spots as only one point now separates Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea in the table.
Tottenham have comfortably finished above Arsenal in the table each of the last two seasons, a fact that doesn’t sit well with Arsenal fans.
When they beat Spurs at the Emirates earlier in the season, a lot of them used the opportunity to gloat that North London was red, only for Spurs to go above them in the table less three days later.
It doesn’t seem like they have learned their lesson as several Arsenal fans once again took to social media after Spurs’ defeat to Liverpool to suggest that St.Totteringham’s day was approaching.
Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted on social media:
Nothing will warm my heart more hang seeing spurs host europa games in their new shining toilet bowl next season #afc

Fewer things would make me happier than Señor Emery leading this trash Arsenal side to finishing above Spurs’ greatest ever team, in the season they opened their new stadium. Nothing club.
