Some Spurs fans on social media are getting extremely excited about Bryan Gil after seeing footage of the winger turn a defender inside out in Spain Under-21s win over Russia.
Tottenham parted ways with £21m plus Erik Lamela over the summer to snap up Gil, who had an outstanding campaign on loan at Eibar from Sevilla last term.
The winger is considered by some to be one of Spain’s brightest young talents and Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping the youngster adapts quickly to the demands of English football.
Gil has already shown glimpses of his outstanding talent to Spurs fans as he put in a silky display in midfield in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Pacos De Ferriera last month.
The former Sevilla man captained Spain’s Under-21s to a thumping 4-1 win over Russia last week.
One moment of class that Gil produced in the game has gone viral on social media as the Tottenham man took a ball on the volley and knocked it past the defender on the turn.
Reacting to Gil’s piece of skill, some Spurs fans admitted that they cannot wait to see him break into the starting lineup.
What a player this guy is going to be 🤙

Spurs Web Opinion
While Gil clearly has a high ceiling, he is still very much a raw talent rather than a finished article. It might take him a year to get used to the demands of English football.
So fans need to be patient with him and refrain from judging him too quickly if he does not make a big impact this season. However, I am excited to see how the 20-year-old will develop centrally.
