Statistics show that Spurs have been nothing more than a mid-table team in 2019

Tottenham Hotspur have been struggling for form in the Premier League of late, despite their impressive Champions League exploits towards the end of last season.

Since the turn of 2019 and the sale of Mousa Dembele, Pochettino’s men have been unable to consistently pick up the wins at a rate you would associate with title challengers, or even top-four hopefuls.

So far, Tottenham’s 2019 numbers have been more like those of a mid-table team, with the Lilywhites losing as many as they have won since the new year.

Spurs have won nine and lost nine in 2019, as well as drawing three games. What stands out too is the calibre of teams Tottenham are losing to, the Newcastles, Bournemouths, West Hams, Southamptons.

Something seems to be going on behind the scenes at Hotspur Way, in my opinion, and Pochettino needs to fix this deep-rooted issue quickly if he is to save Spurs’ season.
