Mauricio Pochettino usually likes to pick one or two youth players to bring through into the first team each season. A little while ago, it was Harry Winks, while this season we have seen the likes of George Marsh, Oliver Skipp, and Luke Amos.
However, one player Spurs are yet to see feature in the first team set-up is young Marcus Edwards, a winger who has never quite lived up to Pochettino’s hype (Mirror).
Edwards was on loan to Netherlands side Excelsior for the last season, where he registered two goals and four assists in 25 games for the relegation-threatened team.
This represented Edwards’ best ever senior return, but Pochettino may still be worried about where the youngster’s head is at. In his book, A Brave New World, Poch commented that Edwards ‘has authority and behavioural problems’ (quoted by the Independent).
However, Edwards still seems confident on his ability, as he took to Twitter this week to post his highlight reel from the past season.
Would you like to see him involved in the next campaign? Some Spurs fans took to Twitter to give their take.

You have so much talent Marcus, take a leaf out of the Harry Kane book; who was out on loan to many clubs to learn his craft, and through hard work and dedication, He has become world class. Poch has seen your qualities, but it is nothing without your application and hard work.
