‘Still not perfect’ – Son opens up on playing alongside Kane and Kulusevski

Heung-min Son admitted he is enjoying playing alongside Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski after firing Tottenham to a 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

Son notched a hat-trick in the encounter at Villa Park, with the victory extending Spurs’ lead in fourth-place over Arsenal to three points.

He opened the scoring after just three minutes, before Antonio Conte’s side were forced into defending their slender lead throughout the first half.

Tottenham regrouped after the break and quickly doubled their lead through Kulusevski, who continued his fine form by firing a low effort through the legs of Tyrone Mings.

Son then added a further double to complete his hat-trick and secure a vital win in the race for a Champions League spot.

And the South Korea international could not hide his delight at being able to share the pitch with Kulusevski and Kane, who despite not scoring, added a further two assists to his name.

Son told Sky Sports: “We are working hard and we see the clips after every single game, we analyse every single situation, which situations we can do better. It’s all about understanding.

“Obviously, the first time when we played altogether it wasn’t perfect. We’re still not perfect but we’re improving every single day and we’re enjoying playing together.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham seem to have found a front line that is comfortable with playing with each other, and we are definitely seeing that.

All three link together nicely and their play can be so devastating at times. It is also nice to see the scoring burden being shared around forwards as opposed to just one man.
