Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg remains intent on leaving Tottenham Hotspur before the window closes, with the midfielder desperate to play regularly.
It is perhaps understandable why Spurs have not given the green light for Hojbjerg to leave yet as they are currently short of options in the middle of the park, with Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr both away at the African Cup of Nations.
Sky Sports have revealed in their live transfer blog last week that the Dane’s future might not be finalised until the final few days of the window.

Hojbjerg continues to eye an exit from Tottenham
Plettenberg has now taken to social media to state that despite playing 90 minutes against Manchester United last week, the former Southampton remains keen to exit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The journalist reveals that the 28-year-old’s priority is to get regular starts and explains that Spurs are open to the formulae of loaning the player out with an obligation to buy.
The Sky Germany reporter adds that Juventus are still on Hojbjerg’s trail but suggests that Bayern Munich are not interested in re-signing the midfielder.

It is understandable why Posteocgolou would not want to allow Hojbhjerg to depart the club without bringing another midfielder through the door first.
I fully expect Spurs to sign a number eight, which is why the Dane is likely to depart before the February 1 deadline, with Juventus still appearing to be his most likely destination.
