Some Spurs fans have pleaded with Christian Eriksen to come back to Tottenham after the Dane took to social media to congratulate new signing, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Hojbjerg has become Tottenham first major summer signing and the midfielder admitted that he is looking forward to a long stay in North London.
The 25-year-old’s Denmark international teammate, Eriksen, spent six and a half years at Tottenham before leaving to join Inter Milan last January.
In fact, Hojbjerg even hinted a few months ago that he had talked to Eriksen about Spurs, amidst rumours of interest from the club (Viaplay via BT).
After the former Bayern Munich man penned a five-year contract with Tottenham, Eriksen took to social media to ask the Lilywhites to take good care of his compatriot.
Responding to Eriksen’s post, some Spurs fans questioned why he left the club if he was treated well, while others also urged him to come back to the club.
Why did you leave then if they took such good care ? 💰 💰 💰

Spurs Web Opinion
Eriksen gave us some of his best years but I do not begrudge him for leaving as it looked like he needed a change of scenery. Things might have not gone according to plan so far for the 28-year-old at Inter but I am convinced his class will eventually shine through once he settles into the Serie A.
Have something to tell us about this article?
Eriksen was only a player at Spurs because of the other players there who carried him. Good player but limited as he now knows.
