Striker wants Modric Madrid deal tied up

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain hopes any deal to bring Luka Modric to the club will be wrapped up quickly.

From a Tottenham fan’s perspective it’s only a matter of time before the Croatian departs White Hart Lane, providing that Daniel Levy gets the deal which he wants. Madrid would be a good fit for us, rather than selling him to Manchester United or Chelsea.

“I saw at Modric at Euro 2012 and also at Tottenham,” Higuain told as.com.

“He is a player who loves the club and us. I wish to close the deal as quickly as possible if it is for the good of the team.”

There was rumours on the net that Higuain could form part of any possible deal involving Modric, but the forward sees his future at the Benabeau.

He said: “I do not regret anything I’ve lived here. I could fulfil dreams and win titles, hopefully this year we will be the Champions.”
