Stuttgart reject Spurs Pavard approach

Tottenham have been rebuffed by Stuttgart in their approach for France World Cup Star Benjamin Pavard.

The 22-year-old, who can play at right-back or in the middle of defence, has impressed in Russia including scoring a stunning goal in their last-16 victory over Argentina on Saturday.

However, according to German news outlet Stuttgarter Nachrichten, Pavard is not leaving Stuttgart this summer at any price

The German club are under no pressure to sell the defender and have therefore told all clubs, including, Tottenham, to forget about bidding.

Tottenham have the much improved Kieran Trippier, who has impressed for England so far at the World Cup as well as former PSG star Serge Aurier as well as youngster Kyle Walker-Peters all vying for a right hand side position in Mauricio Pochettino’s side so a move for Pavard seems unlikely despite the French star’s excellent performances for Les Bleus in Russia this tournament.
