‘Such an organised club’ – Agent praises Tottenham’s handling of his client

Destiny Udogie’s agent Stefano Antonelli has praised Tottenham for constantly keeping in touch with his client since his summer loan move.

Udogie joined Spurs from Udinese for an initial £15m fee in the summer and was immediately sent back on loan to the Italian outfit for the rest of the current season (Sky Sports).

The 19-year-old was said to have caught the attention of several big hitters after his breakthrough season in 2021-22, with Spurs reportedly seeing off competition from the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus for the player’s signature over the summer (TuttoMercatoWeb).

Udogie has continued to get valuable game time under his belt at the Dacia Arena this season, having featured 12 times across all competitions, with three goal contributions to his name so far (Transfermarkt).

The left wing-back’s agent has now admitted that his client is keeping track of developments at Tottenham but remarked that he also remains fully focused on doing well for Udinese.

Antonelli told Radio CRC (10/11/22 as relayed by Sport Witness and Calcio Napoli 24): “I spoke to Udogie of Tottenham, but he keeps telling me that he is focused on Udinese.

“Of course, he keeps track of Tottenham, who, by the way, are such an organised club that they have a person who takes care of Destiny. It’s inevitable that Udogie will end up with the Italian national team, but Roberto Mancini will decide how and when.”

Conte will have a big decision to make regarding whether to integrate Udogie into the squad next summer, and potentially move on one of either Sessegnon or Perisic. I would not be surprised if Spurs decided to loan the 19-year-old to a Premier League side next summer, and potentially replace Perisic with the youngster in the summer of 2024.
