Sunday Rumour: United to move for Hugo Lloris

Manchester United will move for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, 28, if they lose David De Gea, 24, to Real Madrid according to the Sunday Mirror.

It always seems that the press are out to unsettle our squad as soon as we hit a good run of form. According to the report, Lloris could be tempted by a move to Old Trafford if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League – it’s not even a given that Manchester United will make the top four.

De Gea has less than 18 months to run on his United contract and is known to want to play for Real Madrid at some stage of his career. The Mirror claim that although United have brought in former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, he is not viewed as a successor to De Gea.

It would take a handsome amount of money to tempt Daniel Levy to allow Lloris to leave the Lane, especially as he only recently signed a five-year deal with us.
