Sunderland keen on Tottenham midfielder

Sunderland are ready to open their cheque book once again to Tottenham Hotspur as they look to snap up Mousa Dembele, according to The Mirror.

The Black Cats completed the signing of our out of favour defender Younes Kaboul on Thursday for a fee said to be worth £5million on a four-year deal and are ‘determined’ to follow it up with the signning Dembele.

The 28-year-old only managed to start 10 Premier League games under Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino last season. Personally I always feel that Dembele plays best in an advanced role with his best performance coming in the match against Everton at the Lane, he really looked the part that day.

Demebele has two years to run on his existing deal and has previously stated his desire for more regular football.

Would you sell Mousa Demebele? Have your say below.

  1. Yes. He seems to have it all , skill, strength , cant be knocked off ball. But. He has no urgency, speed of thought & no football brain. Authur Rowe , make it simple , make it quick Demble make it overcomplicated & very slow.
