‘Superb boys’ – Spurs legend singles out trio for praise after win at Aston Villa

Micky Hazard singled out three Tottenham Hotspur players for praise after securing a 4-0 win against Aston Villa.

Antonio Conte’s side took the lead inside the first three minutes of the match at Villa Park through Heung-min Son but soon found themselves with the backs against the wall for the remainder of the half with Villa having a number of attempts to level but were either unable to make the opportunity count or were thwarted by Hugo Lloris.

Having managed to hang onto their advantage heading into the break, Dejan Kulusevski netted five minutes into the second half when he got himself on the end of a neat header from Harry Kane to fire back across Emiliano Martinez to find the bottom corner.

Kane provided to be creator once more when another header allowed Son to race free and score which was the fortieth time the pair have linked up for a goal combination in the Premier League (Sky Sports).

Son rounded off the victory with a well-taken effort which went in off the upright to secure his hat-trick, leaving the former midfielder to take to Twitter to give credit to Spurs’ front three.

Kulusevski has been a superb signing for Tottenham and has slotted brilliantly into the front three, his patience to create the opportunity for Son’s third spoke volumes for a player who is remarkably just still 21.

The recent run of form of all three in front of goal could prove to be pivotal with Spurs’ goal difference now +10 better than Arsenal.
