Supercomputer increases Tottenham’s relegation odds after Igor Tudor’s first game

Tottenham Hotspur could be in trouble after a heavy defeat in the North London derby, and this has been reflected by the Opta Supercomputer’s predicted Premier League table.

Relegation has become a talking point among Tottenham Hotspur fans in recent weeks, but at first, it seemed like more of a joke.

However, as results continue to go the way of any opponent Spurs face, falling into the drop zone is becoming increasingly likely.

The gap between Tottenham and 18th-place West Ham is getting smaller and smaller and now stands at just four points after a terrible weekend in the Premier League.

Supercomputer increases Tottenham’s chances of relegation

According to the Opta Supercomputer, the likelihood of Spurs getting relegated has increased to 4.35 per cent following their 4-1 defeat to Arsenal.

This reflects a growing lack of confidence in the North London club, as Tottenham’s relegation chances were 3.40 per cent after the Newcastle loss.

Before that, Spurs had a 2.29 per cent chance of going down, so while the figure remains small, it is clearly creeping up after each passing game.

Spurs have not won a Premier League match this year

Being four or five per cent likely to be relegated is nothing to be concerned about, but perhaps the threat looming over Tottenham is actually much greater.

They are the only team in the Premier League relegation battle who are showing no signs of improvement and have yet to record a league victory since December.

If Spurs lose to Fulham, the Supercomputer will respond accordingly, and before we know it, 4.35 per cent could become 10.
