Supercomputer predicts the chances of Tottenham getting a result away to Chelsea

Opta’s Supercomputer has revealed what the chances are of Tottenham winning at Stamford Bridge for the first time in over six years.

Spurs’ inability to beat Leeds and Brighton at home has left them in a vulnerable position heading into the final two games of the season.

While Tottenham still have their fate in their own hands, things could get really tricky for the Lilywhites if West Ham manage to beat Newcastle on Sunday.

That would send Spurs into the bottom three ahead of their trip to Chelsea, and it would mean that they need at least a draw in the London derby to move back out of the drop zone ahead of the final game of the season.

Supercomputer consider Chelsea big favourites to beat Tottenham

Spurs can take some confidence from the fact that Blues have been in a horrid run of form over the last two months, with the West London club not having won a league game since March 5.

However, despite this, Opta’s Supercomputer considers Chelsea the big favourites to win next Tuesday, giving them a 47.4 per cent chance of taking all three points.

Tottenham have been handed a 28.5 per cent chance of picking up their third away win in a row, while a draw is deemed the least likely result at 24.1 per cent.

Why Spurs fans should be confident ahead of their trip to Chelsea

While Opta’s numbers do not inspire confidence, it is important to point out that the data analysis platform still gives a 52.6 per cent chance of either a draw or a Spurs win, both of which will be enough for De Zerbi’s men to remain 17th.

Chelsea also has a big FA Cup final against Man City just three days before, which means that the Tottenham players will be much fresher.

Additionally, the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge may not be as rowdy as it normally is for Tottenham games, as Chelsea fans have planned a protest against their owners on matchday.
