Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a huge boost in their fight for Premier League survival following West Ham United’s latest defeat, with fresh supercomputer predictions now painting a clearer picture ahead of the final two games of the season.

The latest round of Premier League fixtures has brought yet another twist to the fight for survival between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

Spurs are yet to kick a ball this gameweek, but they have been handed a huge favour in their battle against the drop following West Ham United’s latest defeat at the hands of Newcastle United.

The Hammers were beaten 3-1 at St James’ Park and could now go down to the Championship if Tottenham were to get a single point in their final two games of the season.

Tottenham and West Ham relegation odds predicted by supercomputer

Up next for Tottenham on Tuesday evening is a clash against London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Spurs are without a win in their last seven visits to Chelsea’s home stadium in the Premier League and have also managed just one Premier League victory at the Bridge in their history.

It will certainly be a tricky encounter for Tottenham as they hope to secure their league status before the final gameweek of the season.

However, following West Ham’s latest loss and with Spurs yet to kick a ball, Opta’s AI has now crunched the numbers and delivered its latest points prediction and relegation odds.

According to the supercomputer, West Ham United are now the side most likely to go down to the second division this season.

The Hammers have been handed a whopping 94.94% chance of relegation after their defeat to Newcastle, while Spurs have just a 5.06% chance of going down.

Supercomputer backs Spurs to survive

As for the predicted table, Tottenham have been forecast to pick up two more points from their final two games of the season and finish on 40.65 points.

That effectively means the supercomputer expects Spurs to draw against both Chelsea and Everton. The Hammers, meanwhile, have been predicted to finish on 37.46 points.

That suggests Nuno’s men will not even secure a victory over Leeds United in their final game of the season, a match they will need to win if Spurs were to lose against both Chelsea and Everton.
