The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust have now revealed exactly what the club have told them about possible fixture suspensions or moving games behind closed doors.
This comes as the coronavirus continues to sweep across the nation and the wider world.
The Times have already claimed that all remaining Premier League fixtures will soon be played behind closed doors to avoid congregations of large crowds.
They even added that matches would not be allowed to be shown in pubs for the same reason, with fans instead having to watch them at home.
However, nothing has been announced by Tottenham or the Premier League about such an eventuality, with the Supporters’ Trust offering fans a much-needed update.
They claim that they are in contact with Tottenham and the club have promised to communicate as soon as they receive confirmation of any potential changes.
THST have asked for prompt and thorough information from the club.
We’re in regular contact with THFC re: contingency planning should games be moved to behind closed doors or suspended. The Club has said they’ll communicate fully with fans once there is confirmation from government. We’ve stressed the importance of prompt, thorough information.
