Surprise report claims Spurs could be willing to let star performer leave

The core of Tottenham’s squad has remained intact for the past few years but it looks like that is all set to change in the summer.

According to reports in the British press, Tottenham could revamp their squad completely in the summer as they are set to spend around £150 million on new recruits.

Additionally, a report in the Evening Standard claims Spurs are willing to listen to offers for 12 different first-team players.

While some of the names in the list like Vincent Janssen, Fernando Llorente, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier will fail to surprise fans, one player who is included as a part of the dozen is midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who has arguably been the club’s player of the season.

The 29-year-old who was a bit of a laughing stock among Spurs fans until last season has completely turned around his Spurs career, and gone on to establish himself as a key player in Pochettino’s set up.

While the Frenchman’s game clearly has some obvious shortcomings, he has more than made up for those with his commitment and effort this season.

So unless Tottenham receive a ridiculous offer for Sissoko, one would think he has surely done enough to continue fighting for his place in the side next season.
