Adel Taarabt has stated his intention to leave tottenham Hotspur at the first available opportunity.

Taarabt is on a long-term deal with Spurs and the club was looking to extend his stay at White Hart Lane, but Taarabt has no interest in remaining at the club.

The Moroccan was farmed out on loan this season to Championship side, QPR and has shone with a number of good performances and spectacular goals.

However, his failure to get anywhere near Harry Redknapp’s first team has meant he is not interested in extending his Tottenham career.

He told the Evening Gazette, “Tottenham would like me to sign a new deal with them, but frankly, I don’t fancy going back there now.

“I’ve got two-and-a-half years left with them, but I hope to leave soon.”
