Some Spurs fans on social media have revealed they would be happy to see the back of Dele Alli after reports emerged that Newcastle United are eyeing a move for the Tottenham midfielder.
Alli seemed like he had a new lease of life at the start of the season under Nuno Espirito Santo as he played a valued role in the side winning their first three Premier League games of the campaign.
The 25-year-old seemed to be thriving on the left-hand side of a midfield three but, over the last few weeks, his performances, much like the rest of the Spurs side, have left a lot to be desired.
The England international dropped to the bench in Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa ahead of the international break, with Nuno opting to use a midfielder three of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Tanguy Ndombele instead.
Spanish publication Sport have claimed that Alli is one of the names on Newcastle’s radar ahead of next summer after the club’s recent takeover.
Reacting to the report, plenty of Tottenham fans have insisted that they would be happy to drive Alli to St James’ Park themselves.

Might be a really good move for him. He needs a new spark. But it will take time to build in Newcastle so there’s that to consider, certainly a challenge and maybe he needs that at this point. https://t.co/5PakAqTKxJ

Spurs Web Opinion
Alli has not been anywhere close to his best for around three years and he is certainly a player who frustrated me more than any other in the Spurs squad. However, the amount of disrespect he is getting from some Spurs fans is sad to see.
There is clearly a very good player in there and it is evident that he has lost his confidence. Perhaps he does need a move to get his mojo back.
