Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter following the news that Harry Winks has undergone surgery on his groin.
The club confirmed the news on the official site earlier this evening with it appearing that he will now miss the remainder of the campaign.
The 23-year-old picked up the injury in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final victory over Manchester City earlier this month and had to be replaced in the 81st minute which was his first appearance at the new stadium.
Winks suffered an ankle problem in the latter part of last season and had to go to under the knife, ruining any chance he would go to Russia with England in the summer.
The midfielder had played a key part in the Spurs midfield until he suffered the groin problem having forged a solid partnership with Moussa Sissoko.
Hopefully, Winks can have a good recovery during the summer and return fit ready for next season. Here’s how some fans have reacted to the news.
