‘Talk about being selfish’ – Former Spurs midfielder raves about ‘ridiculous’ Harry Kane

Former Tottenham midfielder, Michael Brown has lavished praise on Harry Kane and believes that the striker’s game has come on even further this season.

The Tottenham forward has posted some ridiculous numbers at the start of the campaign, having scored seven times and assisted eight in eight Premier Leauge games so far.

Taking the Europa League into account, he has a whopping 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, less than a quarter of the way into the campaign (Transfermarkt.com).

Most recently, Kane clutched three points from the jaws of a draw against West Brom on Sunday after carving a relatively harmless cross into a goal.

Kane is not just scoring and creating goals either, as he makes his presence in the box felt when Spurs defend set-pieces and he is never hesitant to track back.

Mourinho raved about the 27-year-old’s all-round contribution after Tottenham’s win at the Hawthorns on Sunday (Goal.com) and Brown admitted that he has been left amazed by the striker’s displays.

He told Football Insider: “It’s just ridiculous isn’t it? I really like now that he’s – with strikers, you talk about being selfish – Harry Kane is also now a big provider.

“I just love it when he lays one up. His ability to finish is remarkable but that he can just also choose a simple one across or (deliver) a good ball, he’s developed into a top, top, top player.

“It’s amazing, isn’t it?”
