Tanguy Ndombele claims he does not agree with the criticism labelled at him

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of their first-team players away on international duty this week, including Tanguy Ndombele who met up with the France squad.

This comes despite the fact that Ndombele was removed at half-time against Sheffield last time out for Spurs due to a groin injury.

Tottenham have been in woeful form this season so far, recording just three wins out of 12 in the Premier League.

However, Ndombele has arguably been a shining light in North London thus far, already showing glimpses of the form he maintained at Lyon last year.

Ndombele has already scored a couple of goals for the Lilywhites, despite that not being the main part of his game.

His driving runs, positive passing, and skill on the ball have brought much enjoyment and entertainment to White Hart Lane in what has otherwise been a miserable season.

Ndombele has now hit out against his critics this week, as he believes some label his playing style as ‘nonchalant’.

He said (L’Equipe): “I do not find myself nonchalant, that’s what people say. When you are told often, you have to try to improve yourself.”
