Tanguy Ndombele named in Tottenham squad for Europa Conference League

Tottenham Hotspur have recalled Tanguy Ndombele to their squad for the UEFA Conference League.

The 24-year-old had been left out of the squad for the double header against Pacos de Ferreira in the play-off round, but now finds himself improved at the group stage.

Ndombele is yet to feature for Spurs since Nuno Espirito Santo took over, having missed the whole of the pre-season campaign and has not played a single minute of competitive football.

The Evening Standard claimed last week that patience inside Spurs was wearing thin with Ndombele and he was due to hold talks with both Nuno and Fabio Paratici (Evening Standard).

Ndombele reportedly asked to leave the North Londoners for the second successive summer earlier this year (Football.London) but still found himself at the club after the transfer window closed.

SpursWeb Opinion

Ndombele now has to roll up his sleeves and show some professionalism by getting his head screwed back on and coming to the realisation that he will still be a Spurs player until at least January.

He can either sit on the sidelines with his £200,000-a-week, or look to make an impact in the first half of the campaign and put himself in the shop window.
