‘Tastes nice’ – Son reacts to Tottenham’s crucial north London derby win over Arsenal

Heung-min Son admits he enjoyed the taste of victory as Tottenham earned a crucial 3-0 win in the north London derby against Arsenal.

Spurs claimed a vital three points in the race to reach next season’s Champions League and closed the gap to the fourth-placed Gunners down to just one point with two Premier League games remaining of the current campaign.

Harry Kane opened the scoring with a penalty after Son was barged over by Cedric in the penalty area before Rob Holding was sent off for Arsenal after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession.

The lead was then doubled by the England captain shortly before half-time after bundling in Rodrigo Bentancur’s goal-bound effort.

Antonio Conte’s men came out of the traps quickly in the second period, with Son then putting the icing on the cake with Spurs’ third in N17.

And reacting to Tottenham’s display, the South Korea international says the manner of the victory over bitter rivals was enjoyable to be a part of.

Son told Sky Sports: “It’s always good to win, especially in the derby and we can close the gap. This game tastes nice.”
