Team K-League manager picks Spurs defender as MOTM above Heung-min Son

Team K-League manager, Kim Sang-sik, claimed that Eric Dier was the most impressive player on the pitch in Tottenham’s pre-season friendly this afternoon (as relayed by Sungmo Lee).

Dier was one of the few players to start the match and also play the majority of the second half for Spurs, with Conte opting for heavy rotation in the South Korean heat.

Heung-min Son came on in the second half to score two goals, one from the penalty spot and one simple finish after a loose pass in the K-League defence. However, the forward could have easily netted a hat-trick in front of his adoring fans.

Harry Kane also forced an own goal within a minute of coming on, before scoring two of his own, be he too was overlooked for Kim Sang-sik’s Man of the Match award.

Dier was superb in defence for the first 45 minutes, and also opened the scoring as he stepped out and lashed a weak-footed effort into the top corner.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Dier definitely tired in the second half, which is to be expected, but he looked class in the first 45 and that goal was certainly the perfect way to kick off your pre-season!
