Team News: Antonio Conte provides positive injury news for Spurs fans

Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Brentford press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon, revealing there have been no additional injury problems this week.

Journalists have been allowed to return to Tottenham’s training ground after the pre-Brighton and Hove Albion press conference had to be held remotely via Zoom after the Spurs head coach had tested positive for Covid-19 (The Sun).

Spurs head into this weekend knowing that they must take all three points from the match against the Premier League newcomers with Arsenal having won at Chelsea last night and their north London rivals could move back into fourth with a victory over Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Thomas Frank’s side.

Conte has revealed that Tottenham have no further injury concerns in the past week, following their 1-0 defeat to Brighton (Jonathan Veal).

As such, long-term absentees Matt Doherty, Japhet Tanganga and Oliver Skipp remain out, but everyone else has come through the match and the subsequent training sessions unscathed, a huge positive heading into the Brentford game.
