Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Sporting Lisbon press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Tottenham turn their attention back to the Champions League after a horrific few days in the Premier League which has seen them suffer back-to-back losses at the hands of Manchester United and Newcastle United, respectively.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Ruben Amorim’s side.
Tottenham currently sit top of their Group D table with seven points, but both Marseille and Sporting are just one point behind on six points. Frankfurt are bottom, but with four points they can also still qualify.
A victory for Spurs tomorrow night will see them secure their passage to the knockout stages. A defeat would mean they will go into their away fixture at Marseille likely needing a win to avoid elimination.
Conte told the press (Football London): “Richarlison and Kulusevski they are out because they are recovering but still not ready. Romero and Hojbjerg tomorrow morning we will see if there is the possibility to try and recover them.”
