Team News: Conte reveals two injured Spurs stars back in training, two still out

Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-West Ham United press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.

Tottenham are the visitors to the London Stadium on Wednesday night with the north Londoners looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season having won three of their opening four Premier League fixtures.

The Hammers picked up their first top-flight points of the campaign yesterday when Pablo Fornals’ second goal saw them beat Aston Villa by a single goal.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against David Moyes’ side.

The Italian was without the services of Oliver Skipp, Cristian Romero, Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil for the win at Nottingham Forest yesterday afternoon.

Conte has now revealed that Skipp and Romero are both back in training and will be assessed after the session today. Meanwhile, Moura is struggling with tendon inflammation and Bryan Gil will start recovery in the next few days (Jack Pitt-Brooke).

The games are starting to come thick and fast now for Tottenham and they will certainly want to stop West Ham’s ‘cup final’ with a win against the Hammers on their own turf. Having Skipp and Romero back in the matchday squad would be huge, but Conte is unlikely to rush them.
