Team news: Conte without two injured Spurs players for first match in charge

The Evening Standard have reported that Tottenham will be without Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon this evening in the Europa Conference League.

Both have been suffering with injuries and only took part in indoor work this week, although the rest of the squad has been training together.

Nuno Espirito Santo was relieved of his duties on Monday, with Spurs replacing him with former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss, Antonio Conte.

The Wednesday afternoon press conference came too early for Conte due to a delay with his work visa, leaving Paratici to take up the duties in unique circumstances.

However, Charlie Eccleshare reported today that the visa has come in just in time for Conte to take charge of the match against Vitesse Arnhem.

Spurs are in need of a win at home after already losing one and drawing one from their opening three Conference League group stage matches.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Conte has almost a full squad to choose from so it will be interesting to see what kind of XI he puts out tonight. Sessegnon could see some opportunities come his way at left-wing-back once he recovers from injury. I’m not sure where Gil will fit in, perhaps one of the number 10 roles in a possible 3-4-3.
