Assistant manager Cristian Stellini has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Sheffield United press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
The Italian was on media duties once again today in place of Antonio Conte who is still recovering from surgery after having his gallbladder removed after experiencing severe abdominal pain earlier this month.
Stellini admitted after the 2-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday that the head coach will soon be back in north London.
He told BBC Sport: “Our desire was this to win, play a great game and to fight for every ball and we are happy for the fans, the club and of course for us and Antonio who is still at home.
“My expectation is that Antonio will be back this week,”
Tottenham make the trip to Bramall Lane tomorrow evening in the fifth round of the FA Cup against their Championship opponents and will be looking to secure their place in the next round of the draw as they hope to keep their hopes of silverware alive this season.

Stellini revealed that there are no new injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s fixture.
He told Football.London: “No fresh injuries. All the players are good. It’s normal that after two days the players need more time to recover.”
Tottenham will be looking to add to their past success in this season’s edition of the competition, having hoisted the iconic trophy on eight separate occasions. However, Spurs last tasted FA Cup glory in 1991 and haven’t lifted a major trophy since 2008.
Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur remain sidelined through injury.
