Team News: Jose Mourinho provides Spurs squad update ahead of Man Utd clash

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update to journalists who have dialled into Jose Mourinho’s pre-Manchester United press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Mourinho answering questions prior to the visit of his former side to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow evening.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, journalists are not in attendance at the press conference but are instead going to pose their questions to the Spurs head coach through video conferencing technology.

A win for Tottenham would see them close the gap on United, who currently occupy fifth place to just a single point.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Japhet Tanganga will miss the visit of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side after suffering a back stress facture while the Spurs head coach is unsure whether Giovani Lo Celso will be able to start with a decision made in the morning.

Dele Alli misses out through a one-match suspension.

Journalist Alasdair Gold, who was part of the Zoom conference call confirmed the team news update.
