Team News: Midfielder in contention vs Everton; two remain out

Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match against Everton during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

Spurs make the trip to Goodison Park on the back of a victory having come from behind to beat Brentford 3-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.

The win over Brentford saw Tottenham move back into the top four of the Premier League table at the expense of Aston Villa who suffered a rare defeat at home to Newcastle United.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Sean Dyche’s side.

Tottenham injury update ahead of Everton match

Giovani Lo Celso has missed Tottenham’s last three matches in all competitions as a result of an injury he picked up in training prior to the match at Nottingham Forest in mid-December.

The Argentine again misses out along with left-back Ryan Sesegnon, however, there is some good news with Pape Matar Sarr in contention following his involvement at AFCON.

Postecoglou told the official Spurs site when asked about Sarr: “We’ll see how it goes.

“He’s had a long trip back so we’ll see how he holds up in training and make a decision around him. Everyone else got through the game ok, we’re the same as Wednesday night.”

The match kicks off at 12:30 on Saturday afternoon and is being broadcast live on TNT Sports for those in the UK.
