Team news: Mourinho reveals three doubts for Newcastle clash – including Ndombele

Tottenham Hotspur face a trip to Newcastle United this week as they look to continue their march towards European football for next season.

Spurs come into the match off the back of a win over Arsenal in the North London Derby on Sunday.

However, Jose Mourinho has now revealed some bad news for Spurs fans with a fresh injury concern ahead of the match against the Magpies.

The Tottenham head coach has claimed in his pre-match press conference that record signing Tanguy Ndombele may not be available for the Newcastle game.

The Frenchman apparently picked up an injury in training yesterday, with Mourinho claiming that he will likely not be selected, although there is still one more training session to go.

Mourinho added that Dele Alli may return to training in the afternoon, although he is unlikely to feature against Newcastle.

Finally, he revealed that Serge Aurier remains a question mark due to the recent tragedy surrounding the death of his younger brother.

Football London’s Alasdair Gold reports that Mourinho said: “Yesterday in training Ndombele injured. I don’t think he’ll be selected but we have another training session. Dele Alli maybe training with us in the afternoon but I don’t believe he’ll be available. Serge, of course, a big question mark in this moment.”
