Team News: Nuno unsure if summer signing will be fit to face Manchester United

Nuno Espirito Santo has provided a team news update to journalists who have dialled into Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Manchester United press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Nuno answering questions prior to the crunch Premier League clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow evening.

Pre-match press conferences continue to take place on the Zoom video conferencing platform with journalists still not able to attend Hotspur Way in person in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Both sides are under pressure to get a result after Spurs were disappointing in their last league outing at West Ham, while United were humbled 5-0 by bitter rivals, Liverpool.

The Spurs boss admitted that he is unsure whether Bryan Gil will be available for the fixture after picking up a hamstring injury during the first half of Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup win at Burnley, the Spaniard will be assessed ahead of the club’s training session later this afternoon.

Ryan Sessegnon remains sidelined through injury and is not available for selection.

PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal who was part of the press conference confirmed the news on Twitter.
