Team News: Postecoglou provides positive news on two Tottenham stars

Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of Sunday’s match against Arsenal during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

The North London derby is always a tense affair and both sides certainly have plenty to play for heading into the fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The visitors are a point ahead of Manchester City heading into this weekend’s Premier League fixtures at the top of the table having played a game more than Pep Guardiola’s side while Tottenham are still trying to chase down Aston Villa for fourth place and the reward of Champions League football.

While the incentive of playing in the Champions League is an attractive prospect, the pleasure of denting Arsenal‘s title hopes will certainly be more satisfying for the supporters of the white half of North London.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Tottenham first-team squad ahead of the clash against Mikel Arteta’s side.

Tottenham injury news vs Arsenal

Brazilian striker Richarlison had missed Tottenham’s last two outings against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United through injury.

Destiny Udogie underwent surgery earlier this month and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season while Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon are long-term absentees.

The Spurs boss revealed that both Porro and Richarlison are in contention to play against the Gunners this weekend in the North London Derby.

Postecoglou told SpursPLAY: “Pedro and Richy trained well this week so are both available.”
