Team News – Spurs confirm pair will miss visit of Bayern Munich but are progressing well

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

Spurs trained earlier this morning at Hotspur Way as part of their preparations for the visit of the Bundesliga giants.

Giovani Lo Celso is still ruled out with the hip injury he picked up whilst on international duty with Argentina and is joined on the sidelined by Ryan Sessegnon who is still rehabilitating after suffering a recurrence of the hamstring problem which has seen him yet to feature for his new club.

The positive news is that the club have confirmed the pair are progressing well with their respective recoveries.

Elsewhere, there are no fresh injury concerns for Mauricio Pochettino despite his side having to play the best part of an hour with just ten men in the 2-1 win against Southampton following Serge Aurier’s dismissal.

Spurs are seeing their first win in Group B, having been held to a 2-2 draw against Olympiacos in the opening fixture. If they harbour any hope of rivalling Bayern for the top spot, realistically, the lilywhites need to win the match in North London.
