Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Nottingham Forest press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Tottenham are the visitors to the City Ground on Sunday afternoon with the north Londoners looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Forest have been one of the busiest clubs during the summer transfer window with a remarkable sixteen new signings as they look to cement their place in the Premier League and avoid the drop at the first time of asking (BBC).
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Steve Cooper’s side.
Conte has confirmed that Cristian Romero, who missed last weekend’s win over Wolves is once again sidelined and is expected to return to training next week. Oliver Skipp is also still not ready to return.
Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil are both doubts for the game after missing training today and will be assessed tomorrow.
Dan Kilpatrick, who was present at the press conference confirmed the following on Twitter.
#thfc Team news: Conte says Romero & Skipp are sidelined against Forest on Sunday but will resume training with the squad at the start of next week. Gil & Lucas are also doubts after missing training today but will be assessed tomorrow.
