Team News: Spurs reveal who has been selected for Ipswich friendly – Two 16-year-olds

Tottenham Hotspur are back in action this afternoon as they look to build up towards the start of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign next month.

The Lilywhites welcome Ipswich Town to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their first of four pre-season friendlies today.

Jose Mourinho’s men will also face the likes of Reading, Birmingham, and Watford before the new season kicks off in September.

The Special One will likely use these four games not only to get the first-team squad up to fitness, but also to take a look at youngsters and fringe players.

In fact, the Spurs boss has selected two 16-year-olds for today’s match against Ipswich, with new signing Alfie Devine and England U-16 striker Dane Scarlett making the squad.

Of course, Tottenham fans will not get to see their beloved Harry Kane as the England captain has to undergo a period of self-isolation following his holiday in the Bahamas (Daily Mail).

Let’s take a look at the first-half starting line-up:

Lloris;

Foyth, Alderweireld, Davies, Sessegnon;

Winks, Hojbjerg, Gedson;

Dele, Lucas, Son

Substitutes: Hart, Gazzaniga, Carter-Vickers, Bowden, Clarke, White, Cirkin, Scarlett, Devine.
