Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-West Ham United press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
The Hammers come into the fixture having secured their place in the quarter-final of the Europa League having beaten Spanish outfit Sevilla 2-1 on aggregate, however, David Moyes’ side had to take to the field for 120 minutes having taken the tie to extra time.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where they are looking to keep alive their hopes of a top-four finish with victory over the Hammers who are also in the race for the final Champions League spot.
Spurs come into the match in North London on the back of a decent 2-0 win at Brighton on Wednesday evening.
Conte has revealed that Tottenham are still without their three existing absentees in Japhet Tanganga, Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon. However, the Spurs coach added that Skipp should return after the upcoming international break (Jonathan Veal).
It was announced this morning that Tanganga had to undergo surgery on his right knee and will be out for the rest of the season.
He said (Football London): “About Skippy, I hope to have him after the international break. His pain it seems is getting better and better.”
Conte says Oliver Skipp should be fit after the international break. Ryan Sessegnon is at least four weeks away from a return to training. #THFC
