A team news update has been provided to journalists attending this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way ahead of Sunday’s trip to Everton in the Premier League.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is once again sidelined due to the dislocated elbow he suffered last month at Brighton with Paulo Gazzaniga showing against Liverpool that he is a more than capable understudy.
Erik Lamela has been ruled out with the hamstring problem that kept him out of the squad at Anfield while Jan Vertonghen is a doubt with a hamstring injury.
There will also be a change required at left-back, Danny Rose picked up his fifth booking of the season during the 2-1 defeat at Anfield and will serve a one match suspension.
Rose’s absence means that Ben Davies or potentially Ryan Sessegnon will have the opportunity to impress Mauricio Pochettino.
After dropping into the bottom half of the table following last Sunday’s loss, Spurs will be looking to turn around their fortunes whilst also searching for their first away win in a competitive fixture since beating Fulham in January.
