Jose Mourinho has provided an update on his squad to journalists who have dialled into Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Everton press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Mourinho answering questions prior to the trip to Goodison Park in the Premier League tomorrow evening.
Pre-match press conferences continue to take place on the Zoom video conferencing platform after the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions meaning that journalists can no longer attend Hotspur Way in person.
Tottenham head into the fixture against Carlo Ancelotti’s side on the back of a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Manchester United which have dealt their hopes of a top four finish and Champions League qualification a serious blow.
Mourinho has confirmed that Tottenham will once again be without Ben Davies and Matt Doherty for the fixture.
The pair have been absent due to respective injury issues prior to the international break and are not ready to return to face the Toffees.
Jonathan Veal, who was part of the press conference confirmed the news on Twitter.
