Team News: Two Spurs players to miss NS Mura tie through injury

Nuno Espirito Santo has provided a team news update to journalists who have dialled into Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-NS Mura press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Nuno answering questions prior to the Europa Conference League group stage fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow evening.

Pre-match press conferences continue to take place on the Zoom video conferencing platform with journalists still not able to attend Hotspur Way in person in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Nuno has confirmed that Steven Bergwijn remains sidelined following the ankle injury he sustained during the 2-2 draw at Rennes, while Ryan Sessegnon is also still ruled out.

The North Londoners will be looking for a substantially improved performance against their Slovenian opponents following Sunday’s diabolical display in the North London derby at Arsenal.

NS Mura come into the match having lost their group opener at home to Vitesse by a 2-0 scoreline.

PA journalist Jonathan Veal, who was part of the press conference confirmed the injury update on Twitter.
