Dario Osario, who Tottenham are allegedly watching ahead of the summer, has been showered with praise by his teammate and manager, who are both convinced that he is destined to end up as a star at a big club.

Tottenham are fans of Chilean starlet Dario Osario
Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Dario Osorio even before his move from Chile to Midtjylland in 2023, and the winger has continued to be linked with a move to the North London side in light of his impressive showing in Denmark.
The pacy left-footer, who has been likened to Gareth Bale because of his ability to cut in from the right and score goals, has also impressed in the Europa League this season.
Last week, it emerged that Tottenham’s scouts were spotted again in Midtjylland’s Europa League clash against Fenerbahce, and while it is unclear who they were running the rule over, it would be a safe bet to assume that it was Osario.

Dario Osario praised by his teammate and manager
The 21-year-old’s Midtjylland teammate, Jonas Lossl, has been blown away by the youngster’s development and he is not in any doubt that he is destined to become a star.
Lossl told Tipsbladet about Osario: “His kick is so natural and clean. He can turn the foot in a way that only the best I’ve seen can. Those who know golf know this perfectly pure battle where you make the ball perfectly. That’s the pure turn that Dario has, just with the leg. And it’s so delicious.
“Those things make me think he can play not only in a bigger league but also for a big team. I just think he will. I really like that we have a star in him after all. There is no doubt. He is one of our star players, but he also works behind. He does not go beyond the community or anything. He works through.”
The work ethic and attitude that Lossl is referring to was also pointed out by his manager, Thomas Thomasberg, who talked about the humility and joy with which the winger plays the game.
Thomasberg said about Osario: “He has come up with a really positive approach to things. We have worked a bit with the temperament, which has also been seen in many other cases in South American matches and players where things can cook a little.
“We have worked with that, but beyond that, there are so many positive things to take around a humble guy who is happy to play football and knows this is an important step in his career. He goes into all matches with a good approach and full concentration.”

Osaria fits the profile that Tottenham have gone for
Osario is the right age and technical profile for the current project at Tottenham and the club have already shown with the acquisition of Lucas Bergvall that they and their scouts are on top of the developments in Scandinavian football.
Tottenham’s technical director, Johan Lange, will himself have expertise on talents coming from that part of the world, especially from Denmark.
When one considers recent reports of Spurs‘ scouts being spotted at Midtjylland, it does seem like the Lilywhites are looking at the Chile international closely.
