‘Thanks God for this chapter’ – Spurs star reacts after reaching club milestone

Lucas Moura has expressed his delight at completing four years at Tottenham Hotspur, admitting that the time he has spent at the North London club has been ‘a pleasure’.

Spurs paid £23m to sign Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January of 2018 (BBC Sport).

While Brazilian has produced some moments of real quality during his time at the club so far – most notable his sensational hat-trick in the Champions League semifinal in 2019 – he has been in and out of the starting eleven at various times under previous managers.

However, the 29-year-old is arguably having his best season since his move to Spurs at the moment, having added a level of consistency to his game that was missing over the last couple of years.

Moura has been a key player since Antonio Conte arrived at Tottenham at the start of November, with the Italian even labelling the Brazilian as ‘one of the best players’ in the squad (One Football).

The winger has now taken to social media to celebrate completing four years at Spurs and admitted that he wants to ‘keep going’.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Moura has a few obvious flaws to his game, the 29-year-old has unique attributes that will make him an asset to any squad in world football. So, I expect him to have a future at Spurs under Conte.

Apart from his qualities as a player, I love the fact that Lucas plays with his heart on his sleeve and genuinely seems to have an affection for the club.
