‘That’s how’ – Shearer and Terry react to what Harry Kane did last night

Alan Shearer and John Terry both commended Harry Kane on his penalty kick in England’s Nations League clash against Germany on Monday.

England played out a 3-3 draw against the Germans at Wembley in what was their final fixture before the World Cup in November, with both Kane and Eric Dier playing 90 minutes.

The Three Lions looked dead and buried at one point after the visitors led 2-0 with little over 20 minutes left on the clock but they came roaring back to level the game through goals from Luke Shaw and Mason Mount.

The home side were then awarded a spot-kick and Kane was tasked with the job of giving them the lead from 12 yards.

The Tottenham man proceeded to blast the ball into the top corner, giving Marc-Andre ter Stegen no chance, even though the German keeper went the right way.

However, Gareth Southgate’s men were not able to see out the win as a late mistake by Nick Pope allowed Kai Havertz to capitalise and snatch a draw.

Here’s how two England legends in Terry and Shearer reacted to Kane’s penalty:

That was essentially the perfect penalty from Harry Kane as not only was the direction perfect but it was hit with such power that Ter Stegen was a full meter and a half away from saving it, even though he dived early and went the right way.
