The 13 Spurs stars expected to be away at the World Cup in November

A total of 13 players from Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be away at the World Cup in Qatar.

This season poses unique challenges to most big clubs, with the World Cup set to take place in the middle of the season.

The tournament in Qatar gets underway on November 20, with the final set to be played on 18 December.

Based on the most recent squads picked up by various international bosses during the international break, Antonio Conte can be expected to be without 11 players, excluding the ones on loan, during that period.

Here are all the Tottenham stars who are expected to travel to Qatar (‘*’ signifies players out on loan):

England: Harry Kane, Eric Dier

France: Hugo Lloris

Denmark: Pierre-Emile Hojbjrg

South Korea: Son Heung-min

Brazil: Richarlison

Croatia: Ivan Perisic

Argentina: Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso*

Senegal: Pape Matar Sarr

Urugway: Rodrigo Bentancur

Wales: Ben Davies, Joe Rodon*

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that Colombia and Sweden have not qualified for the tournament is a positive for Spurs as it means that Kulusevski and Sanchez will not be travelling to Qatar.

The one month that the players will have at Hotspur Way with Conte and his coaching staff could benefit the likes of Bissouma and Spence, and I expect to see a lot more of them in the second half of the season.
