The best and worst possible groups for Tottenham in the Champions League draw

Tottenham Hotspur are just a matter of hours away from finding out who they will get in the 2019/20 Champions League group stage draw.

Last season’s draw was unkind to the Lilywhites as they were grouped up with the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSV.

Luckily, Spurs just about qualified out of the group in second place and went on to make their first-ever Champions League final, albeit finishing as the runners up.

Pochettino will surely be hoping for something a little easier this time around, but the odds are not in his favour.

Thanks to Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man City all qualifying for pot one, Spurs will likely get one of the big dogs.

Let’s take a look at Tottenham’s best and worst possible group stage draw:

Best possible scenario –

Zenit St Petersburg

Tottenham Hotspur

Salzburg

Red Star Belgrade

Worst possible scenario –

Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur

Inter Milan

Lille
